Lava Stone Collection
Sometimes referred to as Basalt, Lava stone is a solid, hardened form of rock produced by the process of molten lava cooling to form a solid. This self-renewing source of volcanic rock is found locally near Mount Merapi Volcano, known as one of the most active in Indonesia. With consideration to the environment, large slabs of stone are mined above ground by local miners in a non-invasive way, rather than using conventional destructive mining practices.
Concrete Furniture Collection
Our concrete furniture collection is made of GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) The glass fibers reinforce the concrete, much as steel reinforcing does in conventional concrete, and it results in a product with much higher flexural and tensile strengths than regular concrete. Our local craftsmen use the hand layering process as a technique to make it strong and lightweight. It is about 30% lighter than regular concrete and reduces carbon transportation. Therefore, our concrete is eco-friendly, durable, and stylish.
Reclaimed Teak
Our Teak is retrieved from old houses, bridges gates doors and other wooden structures in Java, Indonesia. Not only is this a great sustainable use of material, but also aged Teak is very hard and durable for the purpose of making furniture that will last a lifetime. Reclaimed Teak is characterised by blocked patches and fillings made by hand by our skilled artisans where there has been a joint or a hole in old wood. This means each product will have it’s uniqueness and in this way we stay true to the authenticity of a truly recycled product. Teak is inherently pest resistant, weather resistant and a hardy choice for quality furniture. This is the eco friendly choice for customers who value the environment and appreciate long lasting furniture.
